We first came to Sardinia on a weekend trip at a time when such trips felt normal. And we fell for the island. The food, the medieval villages, the people, the nature, the sea. Not least the smells, it was in the spring when the island smelled of rosemary. We came back several times, one trip we went around the whole island and visited archeological remains from the prehistoric Nuraghic civilization. In 2012, we decided that we wanted a house in Sardinia. We moved to a smaller apartment in Stockholm and bought Casa Orosei in Cuglieri, which had not been inhabited for ten years.

He is now working on publishing articles and writing a book based on his dissertation. Lena comes from northern Sweden but has lived in Stockholm for a long time, has worked mostly as a theatre director, film director and screenwriter. I am now writing a couple of screenplays in collaboration with a Swedish film director, Catti Edfeldt.

In addition to family and our professional interests, we have two major passions; Food and houses. We have lived together for a long time, have three grown children but no grandchildren (yet) and left Sweden because we felt we wanted to try something different. Another lifestyle. Simpler, more local, more organic.
